Nobel is a Milanese sound design grad and Italian DJ for PTWschool blog and Weird Club night. He made the jump over to London this summer and is now addicted to roast chicken flavoured Walkers. A stellar yet underrated crisp to be fair.

What do you do?
Basically I make music, and every time I say this people go “music is too general, what kind of music?” the truth is that i don’t really know what kind of music I make, I love to mix everything but in terms of sounds not genres, in my opinion if you just follow the sounds you like is easier do original stuff without getting trapped in genres like House, Grime, Garage…

Tell us more about the bootleg of Pull Up To Mi Bumper You Made? Why did you choose this track?
This track is part of my own free download series Difficult Club.
To be honest I’m not a huge fan of the original track but I was listening to the Acappella Version and I tried to put it on a track I had already made and that gave me a lot of ideas. So basically I’ve split the process in two: one day I made just the beat and one week after that I fixed it with the vocal, very unusual thing for me to do but I think it worked this time…let me know if it’s a true.

Best place for the track to be played?
In my opinion it works at it’s best between a classic traxx beat and a ballroom track in a small club. I usually play it in Italy, where the vocal is very important to create a solid dancefloor. From what I’ve seen in London clubs so far, the beat and the rhythm are very important and most of the time a solid structure without any vocals is strong enough to make people dance.

So what I’ve tried to do is mix these two things, giving the right importance to the beat and to the vocal as well. And don’t forget that it’s summer!! and Pull Up To Mi Bumper works very well on these hot London summer days!

If were to DJ at one of P Diddy’s infamous white outfit parties what would you wear and what would you play?
It is a good question cause I’m not really into the Hip Hop scene. I’d probably start off with some Baltimore stuff and finish up with some Juke…and probably an empty dancefloor in front of me! Oh yeah for the outfit I’m gonna say all-white Nasir Mazhar tracksuit.

Whats your favourite flavour sort of chips?
I found my favourite flavour of chips just a few weeks ago here in London. Roast Chicken Walkers! It’s like eating a real roast chicken, which is kinda disturbing actually. Regardless, in love forever.

Whats the weirdest thing you’ve ever done or seen?
One of the craziest things I’ve probably witnessed happened more than 10 yeas ago. I was with a mate of mine at the last stop of the tram waiting for the driver to finish his break. My friend was pretty stoned and thought was a great idea to get in, seat at the driver’s seat, close the doors and start driving with the tram packed with people. The police stopped him after few hundred meters, they weren’t as amused as he was. He justified himself by saying that he was gonna do all the stops. He got locked up for a couple weeks for that.
