Checan brings the intrepid Sheffield party to London on Friday 3rd October. Following on their traditional of utilising the more unusual end of lurking spaces for a clunightb, Bunga Bunga will be at Crucifix Lane warehouse…to be exact. Following on their tradition of solid bookings such a Toddla T, DJ EZ, Slimzee, Loefah and Forgemasters; the debut London party will feature appearances from the greats – ever innovative DJ & producer Scratcha DVA (Hyperdub), Hyperdub first lady Cooly G (Hyperdub), Four Tet collaborator DJ Champion (Formula) and garage legends Foundation (Sticky and Scott Garcia) alongside the Drakefell camp with Thefft, TOYC Zulu and Bunga Bunga residents Checan and Jack Opus.
Co-producer and DJ in residence Checan has been located in London in recent years and represented Bunga having worked with the likes of the Unknown to the Unknown label and Don’t Watch That. What better way to showcase this background than to party with the night that laid these foundations…
As for the ethos of Bunga Bunga, it’s pretty simple and straightforward. It’s a party, a knees up, it’s upfront. The kinda party Berlusconi would brag about.
