I came across this “one-man indie disco-funk band” fella quite a while back via i-D Magazine´s monthly mixtape on soundcloud – instantly fell in love with his track “Gee Up” (below). Was very upset that the song only lasted for 1min and something seconds thinking it was just a preview. But after some research and finding his album on iTunes i realised that NO this was actually it. HOW DARE HE!!!
Nevertheless after a few streams of the tracks on iTunes i eventually convinced myself to buy the album. Still circulating my ipod til this day and only i’ve just featured it on my radio show two weeks back (lame i know).
Adam (Kindness) totally won me over and probably many others with his “House” video. Whats the meaning behind it? I have no idea, it will be a question i hope to ask him one day.
With (what i think is) his last London date this year, Kindness will be performing LIVE at Heaven this [TOMORROW] Wednesday evening alongside some special guests Off Love & Night Slugs.
You can still buy tickets via eatyourownears.com BUT there’s only “15 left” so you’ll have to be quick. After missing him at Bestival there’s no way i’m missing him this time.
If you don’t manage to catch him at Heaven this Wednesday he’ll also performing two other UK dates, one including a DJ set a The Warehouse Project in Manchester (but’s that a secret)
