From the beginning of Grime I have always had a love for Blazin Squad, I felt that they were underrated as a Grime group. They had all the elements to make it as big as Roll Deep or NASTY CREW, I mean, there were like 27 of em so mathematical ratio would say at least 30% of em should have great lyrical ability no? and they had like maybe 1 1/2 good looking guys in the crew, they even had a singer!!!
Some may argue and say they weren’t grime, I beg to differ, on their album they had a couple tunes that were 140bmp and in their westwood freestyle Rocky B (token black boy) states he is the LORD OF GRIME…I KNOW RIGHT….BABES…THAT’S A BIT MUCH ISNT IT.YOU WANT PROOF….
I’m not dissing honestly, I actually had their album and used to spit their bars. But why don’t make grime crew like Blazin’ Squad no more. They used to dance moves and all sorts, they made songs for the ladies. Can you really imagine OG’z doing a dance routine to ‘Comeback Riddim’ that would be epic. I could actually imagine some of Roll Deep doing some next type of dance routine….yeah man…bring back grime crews with dance and singing and NICE songs for the ladies…
