It must be special guest season or something. Last month we had Spinn, Rashad, Mosca and Swing Ting in the Deja Vu studio. Today, Thursday 1 December, we’ve got CHRISSY MURDERBOT, MURLO and DEAMONDS all guesting on the Wifey LDN show on Deja Vu.

If you only know Murderbot from his album Women’s Studies (released earlier in the year on Planet Mu) then you need to get familiar with his unique abilities as a DJ. He might be the only selector in the world who punches his weight in just about any underground dance music genre you care to name. He’s previously demonstrated it in amazing fashion by putting out a mixtape every day for a year, showing off his knowledge of everything from New Jack Swing to Neue Deutsche Welle, not to mention Bassline House and Belgian Techno. The other thing such stunts reveal, of course, is the man’s superhuman energy. We’re looking forward to seeing what happens when we put him on the spot.

Deamonds played the last Wifey Alibi party and had people climbing the walls with his music. The set arced upwards from reserved, brooding house rollers to epic 2 step and grime. Deamonds has been flinging us dubs for a while now and they just keep getting better. His first release “Credentials” comes out in February next year.
