If you follow any combination of Odd Future-related twitter accounts, you would have seen Domo Genesis and various other members of the crew breathlessly anticipating the premiere of “Benediction” on Shade 45. It features Domo going off in a pretty lyrically lyrical underground-rap-circa-late-’90s way (in this case we mean that in an entirely positive sense, this is good) over Mobb Deep’s “Hell on Earth.” Insert hyperbolic sentence about how a west coast kid is bringing New York rap back.
