Nice ethereal vibes from LA duo Nguzunguzu (possibly pronounced like N-Goo-Zoo-N-Goo-Zoo with a mouthful of Hubba Bubba gum) released on Fade to Mind, the newborn baby brother label to Night Slugs from over’t pond. One to watch indeed.
Hype Williams’s Farthing Wood Dub from the Kelly Price W8 Gain Vol.II release, which sounds a revengeful EP name dissing on an ex-girlfriend who got fat…twice over? Being an 80s child, I picked this over the other tracks due to many a sleepless nights caused by the Animals of Farthing Wood, which was one of the most EVIL childrens TV programmes EVER. Animals getting squashed by cars, a pair of huge feet with Wellington Boots on constantly shooting at foxes, badgers getting murked and shit loads of concrete being dumped on a field less than 30 seconds into the show. Positive mental outlook children, positive mental outlook.
