I’m helping my homie move out of his studio, it’s like his last few weeks of University. There is gonna be a big exhibition in June but more to follow on that. Anyway the final years get the 1st years to help out and someone says they are having and exhibition in this dope building where my homies the Parkers paint. This building is so cool but as long as I’ve lived in Brighton it’s never been used. These cats got the building just by seeing the owner one day and basically asking if they could use the space at their own.
The exhibition goes on form the 14th – 18th of May and opening times are 12-6pm everyday. There is a ton of dope paintings everywhere I think everyone was impressed with the enthusiasm these lot had and the determination to see it through. I was mainly there to mack chicks and invite them to my party, Fresh Off The Boat at the Loft, Middle Street tomorrow from 10pm. But luckily enough I went down with my crew and there was a bevie of beauties, food, wine and beer. So I was pretty content drinking the free beers.
The space was fucking cool though and the use of it was even more impressive. I suppose you cant really go wrong with such a huge building. The turn out was impressive too, many gal dem, I literally had a stiffy the whole time I was there but had to feint interest in all the art. Still some stuff in there I really liked. Here are some of my favorites. I don’t know the name of the artists but you should definitely go down and check it out.
