Last night was the opening for Joe Holbrooks exhibition at the Bohdi Galleries on Brick Lane. His new opus, “21”, which consists of a series of personal portraits, marked a new direction in Holbrooks’ artistic approach. By painting the canvases in acrylics and then covering them in a clear resin, Holbrooks instills within the pieces a certain photographic quality. The exhibition carries on until March 5th and is an artistic experience which I recommended highly.
